Motorcycle safety technologies are becoming increasingly advanced, with several new features designed to improve rider safety.

One such technology is the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which prevents the wheels from locking during hard braking, reducing the risk of skidding and loss of control. Another technology is the Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which uses sensors to detect and correct any loss of control by reducing engine power or applying brakes to individual wheels. Additionally, some motorcycles now come equipped with Blind Spot Detection (BSD) systems that alert riders to vehicles in their blind spots. Other safety technologies include Traction Control System (TCS), Adaptive Headlights, and Airbag Systems. By incorporating these safety features, motorcycle manufacturers are making strides toward reducing the risk of accidents and injuries for riders.

In 2021, there were 5,932 motorcyclists killed — 14% of all traffic fatalities.
